October 23, 20162 minute read

Students who passed from Open University are not eligible to perform admission test at Chittagong University and Comilla University. Chittagong University says on their recent admission prospectus that students who passed from 2012 to 2014 in SSC and students who passed in 2015 or 2016 in HHC are eligible to apply for admission test. As well as, they mention the board names except BOU. As a result, BOU students couldn’t apply for admission test on CU’s this year admission test for Bachelor Degree.

In other forms, Dhaka University prospectus says, students passed from 2011 to 2014 in SSC and passed this year(2016) in HSC can apply for admission test. But they did not mention any board. So, BOU student can apply for admission test at DU.

Comilla University also not allowing to perform at admission test which student passed from BOU in HSC or equivalent this year.

Students from BOU complain that this could mean a result of losing the opportunity to graduate from public university for a lot of students who passed from BOU. They think this is not logical and they urged to fix this to make equal so that all of the students who passed under any board can apply for admission in any University.
